Riga's Cable Bridge (Vanšu tilts).

Translation. I have over 15 years of experience as a Latvian to English translator, specialising in legal documents, European Union regulations, publications on historical and cultural subjects as well as medical and scientific texts. Interpreting. With a Postgraduate Diploma in Interpreting for European Union Institutions, I have served as an interpreter for government bodies, internnational oganisations, educational and scientific institutions and private enterprises. Contact me for interpreting at you conference, seminar or meeting. 

Journalism. Since 1994 I have written about politics, society and travel for publications including The Baltic Times, Riga in Your Pocket, Business Central Europe, Riga Now!, City Paper and Ir. Some career highlights

Kuldīga - Architecture and Urbanism.

It was an honour to be the translator and English-language editor for Kuldīga - Architecture and Urbanism, a magnificent book about the beautiful town of Kuldīga in western Latvia, which is a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage listing.

Rinkēvičs and Straujuma meet the press.

I was a simultaneous interpreter at the concluding press conference for Latvia's EU Presidency on 29 June 2015, attended by Latvian Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma and Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs.

I translated the subtitles for the documentary Double Portrait of a Coin, an absorbing film which used authentic home movies to  offer a glimpse into life in the USSR.
